If you ask his colleagues, Olympic Medical Physicians Clinic Supervisor Josh Lewis makes everything go ‘round. Lewis, who was recently named the Olympic Medical Center BEE (Being Excellent Every Day) honoree, is the “secret weapon that every department needs to survive and thrive.” Lewis was presented with the service excellence award after a wide-ranging nomination blew the BEE Committee away with its praise of Lewis’s “unfailing” friendliness, unmatched work ethic, and the way he “truly cares about his staff.” According to them, Lewis is the “MVP of Specialty." We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Michael Sturm to our Primary Care team in Port Angeles. Dr. Sturm grew up visiting family on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula and always planned to return to live and work in the area, which he calls “paradise.” As a primary care physician, Dr. Sturm hopes to get to know his patients on a personal level through hearing their stories and seeing them achieve their health goals. “My goal is to walk alongside patients on their journey to optimal heath with compassion and competence,” said Dr. Sturm. As our most recent DAISY Award honoree, Emergency Department nurse Wade Lauritzen heard touching words about his expertise and care in the ER during a presentation to recognize him. Brown, call center supervisor in our clinic division, was awarded for going above and beyond for the project, with the benefits of her leadership felt across the organization. Olympic Medical Physicians welcomes physician assistant Sarah Heck to the orthopedic specialty team.
