About us
Let’s run there is an invitation to feel like our favorite selves. It’s a challenge to venture where we’re scared to go. And it’s a promise to never remain idle. That’s why, for 110 years, Brooks has pushed the limits of motion science, engineering, and technology to create gear that helps get you there— whether it's a headspace, a feeling, or a finish line. Our company culture defines us, bonds us together, and drives our success. We live this culture daily through our brand values: Runner First, Word is Bond, Champion Heart, There is no “I” in Run, and Keep Moving. This means we always solve for the runner, do what we say we will, give it our all, are generous with our humanity, and find a way to keep moving every day, because joy is kinetic. The shoes and gear we develop, the experiences we create, and the partnerships we build should help make the run inclusive and accessible for all. We are taking a comprehensive and strategic approach to ensure our values are represented in our sport. We are committed to reducing barriers to participation in the run, the running industry, and the running community.

The future of our sport is guided along by coaches who bring out the best in young runners. Brooks’ Inspiring Coaches Program is designed to recognize their dedication and say thank you for their exceptional work. Every year, we shine a spotlight on eight high school cross country and track and field coaches and name two Inspiring Coaches of the Year. Meet our grand prize winners for 2024: Aaron Staub, cross country coach at Concordia High School in Omaha, Nebraska, and Holly Retzlaff, track and field coach at Warwick Public School, Warwick, North Dakota! Congratulations to Aaron and Holly, and to our other finalists from four regions in the U.S., who were chosen from among 1,000 nominees by our selection committee. Our grand prize winners will receive $10,000 in Brooks gear and $2,000 for use by their team. We’ll also honor and celebrate both coaches in person at next year’s Brooks PR Invitational on June 11, 2025. Finalists get $1,000 in Brooks gear for their team. Brooks Athletes toed the line at the NYC Marathon on November 3rd! For three of our four pros - Jessica McClain (2:27:19) placed 8th, CJ Albertson (2:10:57) placed 10th, Colin Bennie (2:11:16) placed 12th - this was their first NYC Marathon. Des Linden (2:29:32) came in 11th place as this was her 5th time running the NYC Marathon. We celebrate their accomplishments as we round out an exemplary year on the world stage with 6x Top 10 finishers at World Majors. Congrats to our athletes on a great race weekend and year! #LetsRunThere #AthleteSpotlight #ChampionHeart #MarathonMajors

Today, we honor the extraordinary men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Veterans Day is more than a date on the calendar, it is a powerful reminder of the courage, commitment, and sacrifices made by those who have answered the call to serve. At Brooks we are proud to work alongside many veterans. One of our colleagues is military veteran Captain Gregory Leak, US Army. From his years serving in the U.S. Army to his current role at Brooks, Greg’s journey has focused on mission and community. For Greg, running is about more than exercise; it’s about discipline, service, and being part of a team. “Running gives you the chance to be part of something greater,” said Greg. “Even in the military, I looked for ways to support and build the running community.” This is fitting as Greg recently joined our Loyalty programs team where he will continue to build the running community at Brooks events. Thank you to all those that continue to serve. #LetsRunThere #BrooksLife #ChampionHeart

Building off the hype surrounding NYC Marathon weekend, Brooks & Marathon Kids created an unforgettable experience for an entire 4th grade class at a school in the Bronx. Students received new running gear AND a special (+ unforgettable) visit from Des Linden & Kara Goucher. Many miles were logged, and endless smiles were had! For nearly 30 years, the evidence-based Marathon Kids program has empowered children to set and achieve big goals through the sport of running. Marathon Kids creates a vibrant community where every child can thrive by fostering self-confidence, teamwork, and goal-setting skills. #LetsRunThere #CommunityImpact

Last month, we joined Des Linden to surprise her alma mater in San Diego with a Future Run Team Grant. 💙 Des kicked off the afternoon talking with the students about her time at Hilltop High, how soccer sparked her love for the run, and the power of running groups as a way to stick with the sport after high school. The students were gifted Brooks gear and they all stepped out for an unforgettable group run with Des. Future Run Team Grants help ensure that all athletes arrive at the starting line with great gear. Future Run Team Grants support underserved high school cross country and track programs with performance running gear and financial assistance.
